John Outdid Himself

chicken tenders marinated in

Justin Wilson's Louisianna Chicken Wing Sauce

and chicken roll ups:

seasoned chicken tenders flattened into thin quarter inch cutlets
rolled with spinach, sweet red peppers

and feta cheese (made with goat's milk)

served with roasted sweet corn on the cob

and a baked potato

if we made s'mores

we could have had dessert, too

my John cooked, took the picture and helped write the menu

everything prepared on his Weber grill using charcoal

one of my new favorite dishes!

Sunday dinner

well, Saturday we didn't visit a local restaurant

my John had an end of the season curling party

Sunday, we decided to go to a local Taco Bell

I had

spicy chicken soft taco ~ A warm, soft, flour tortilla filled with shredded chicken that has been slow simmered in authentic Mexican spices, crisp, shredded lettuce, and Fiesta Salsa.

spicy chicken burrito ~ A warm, soft, flour tortilla wrapped around shredded chicken that has been slow simmered in authentic Mexican spices, seasoned rice, creamy JalapeƱo sauce, and Fiesta Salsa.

double decker taco ~ warm, soft, flour tortilla spread with hearty beans and wrapped around a crunchy, corn taco shell filled with seasoned ground beef, crisp, shredded lettuce, and real cheddar cheese.

he had

nachos bellgrande ~ A large platter of crisp, freshly prepared tortilla chips covered with hearty beans, seasoned ground beef, warm nacho cheese sauce, diced ripe tomatoes, and cool sour cream.

burrito supreme ~ A warm, soft, flour tortilla wrapped around seasoned ground beef, hearty beans, tangy red sauce, crisp, shredded lettuce, real cheddar cheese, diced onions, diced ripe tomatoes, and cool sour cream.

chalupa supreme ~ Crispy, chewy Chalupa shell filled with seasoned ground beef, cool sour cream, crisp, shredded lettuce, a blend of three cheeses — cheddar, pepperjack, and mozzarella, and diced ripe tomatoes.

pintos 'n cheese ~ Hearty beans, tangy red sauce, and real cheddar cheese.

tostada

no, we didn't eat this all at once

you can order "fresco" like I do

that way, you don't have cheese or sour cream (dairy)

but, they add a salsa-type mixture

run for the border!

what do you order when you visit Taco Bell?

I had tender pot roast ~ covered with rich gravy-served with choice of potato or rice, garden vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli and carrots) and Texas toast

served with cole slaw or salad

I had mashed potatoes and salad

my John had chicken parmigiana ~ a new Italian delight!-our chicken breast with Parmesan and Italian-seasoned breading is fried to perfection then topped with melted mozzarella cheese and our tangy meat or marina sauce-served with spaghetti and a grilled Grecian roll

served with choice of cole slaw or salad

he had meat sauce and cole slaw

appetizer trio (shared) ~ a combination of all white meat select chicken tenders,

cheese sticks and onion rings deep-fried

and served with choice of sauce
